THE WAIT is over!!!! Welcome to the details of our journey to Lydia Regina Jiang Ting Doyel! Almost exactly three years to the day we started this process, we were finally able to view our precious little girl’s face! She was born on October 18, 2007 and is currently ten months old.
This is a journal we plan to use on our journey to China to meet Lydia and bring her home. We will be traveling sometime in late September and plan to keep this journal updated during our trip so check back often for updates.
Lydia’s Chinese name was given to her by her orphanage. The first character (Jiang) means “river” and the second character (Ting) means “graceful”.

Wow, how exciting. Man, it looks like Beijing has changed so much. It must be really cool being there. I want to be there!!!
You will be meeting Lydia soon. Yeah!! I can’t believe how much Lydia looks like Jasmine’s baby picture. It sure gives me the bug again!
I wanted to let you know of a possible memory sake you might want to consider once you arrive in GuangZhou. When we were there 7 years ago they had people making carvings in granite stone. If you provide a picture, they do excellent work. The earlier you make your order the more time they have to work on it and the better job they will do.
Thanks for the Website so we can keep tabs on you guys. We are so excited for you!
